A project by the Hurstbridge Community Shed Inc.

The Hurstbridge Library of Stuff is a community lending library that allows members to borrow a wide variety of practical and interesting items for a small annual fee; including power tools, sports equipment, camping gear, art supplies, toys, household appliances and more. 

Through the library, community members can borrow everything from a bread maker or jigsaw puzzle, to a tent, drill or guitar -- for less than a fraction of what it would cost to buy or hire these items elsewhere. 

The aim of the Library of Stuff is to reduce the financial and geographical barriers that restrict people’s access to goods and experiences. It also reduces local waste and consumption practices, and fosters community engagement.
